Managing Your Item Library
Save frequently used products and services to speed up quote creation.
What is the item library?
The item library is a catalogue of your products and services. When building a quote, you can insert items from the library instead of typing them from scratch each time.
Adding items
Go to Items in the main navigation and click New Item. Fill in:
- Name — The product or service name
- Description — Optional detail shown on quotes
- Unit price — Default price (overridable per quote)
- Category — Group similar items together
- Tax rate — Default tax applied when added to a quote
Categories
Categories help you organise your library. Go to Items → Categories to create, rename, or reorder them. Each item belongs to one category.
Saving items from a quote
When building a quote, you can click Save to library on any line item to add it to your catalogue directly.
Bulk tax rate changes
If your tax rate changes, go to Items and use the Bulk assign tax rate option to update multiple items at once.
Using items in quotes
In the quote builder, click Add from library. You can search by name or browse by category. Selected items are inserted as line items — you can still edit quantity and price per quote.
